Baby Grandson Consistently Answers Each Of Grandmother’s Questions

Building a bridge between your child’s communication and understanding of their needs can be difficult. Oftentimes, kids have their own way of communicating with adults, even if we do not understand it. In this clip, a grandmother and grandson form a bond over a conversation that took place in the 1990s. This just goes to show that, even then, caregivers did their best to communicate with even their smallest confidants

Dance, sign language, and facial expressions are all methods of communication that can occur without speech. Many babies learn these techniques long before they can form sentences verbally. In this video, a baby sitting on his grandma’s lap babbles out answers to questions that she asks in his very own language. When asked about his day, the baby looks right at grandma and begins to jabber away. Grandma holds her interest and engages in a conversation with this baby that is unbeknownst to us, but it sure is cute

The conversation does not end there. In this cute video, Grandma keeps asking the baby boy about random topics, to which he continues to reply in his own language. After Grandma asks a question about snow machines, it appears that the little boy is enthralled as he goes into a long monologue in response to her question. Smiling and chatting away. You can tell that this grandma has a real interest in what the little boy is saying incoherently.

Even if the baby boy does not understand what Grandma is saying, and vice versa, this is a great way for children to begin learning the concept of speech. Facial expressions, tone of voice, and verbal synchrony speak more to babies than words ever can. This little one was born in 1997, and sadly the Grandma in this video passed away in 2009. Yet, the lessons that she taught him will forever be evident in his ability to communicate effectively.
