Taekwondo is a martial art that blends aspects of Karate, Muay Thai, and Jiu-Jitsu. The 60-year-old self-defense practice is also Korea’s national martial art. This style is not for the faint of heart, with tremendously rapid kicks and powerful combinations.
Sophie Wong, who is only three years old and fresh to the profession, is already giving it her all. She may not have been able to speak all of the phrases correctly, but that didn’t stop this tiny taekwondo expert from reading the full student vow with zeal and enthusiasm, as she committed her allegiance to the martial art and being the best that she could be.
Leeds Taekwondo & Premier Martial Arts Centre recorded a video of their tiny student reciting the recitation as well as some very lovely techniques. Since the martial arts school originally uploaded it on their Facebook page, the video has gone viral for all the right reasons.
Sophie began learning taekwondo about a month before this film was shot, motivated by her 6-year-old brother, who also learns the martial art. Sophie is the school’s youngest – and undeniably cutest – student, according to the school.
“We’re always striving to get the most out of our young people, but I’ve never seen such intensity and determination from a 3-year-old.” “Her attitude is great,” the school’s owner said.
Check out her lovely recital after the jump!
