The Toddler’s First Two Words After Learning About His Baby Sister Will Make You Laugh.

For some children, learning that they will be a big brother or sister is joyful; for others, not so much.

When Joel and Courtney Parlour of Seattle, Washington, found out they were expecting their second child, they got an ultrasound to find out the gender of the baby. The couple was overjoyed to learn they’d be receiving a baby girl, so they devised a creative way to inform their son Brinton of the good news.

Like most firstborn children, Brinton had gotten pretty used to being the only apple of his parents’ eye… but all that was about to change. Joel and Courtney had no doubt talked to Brinton about becoming a big brother, and he was excited when his dad brought out a mysterious black balloon for the gender reveal.

Would it be pink for a girl or blue for a boy if the balloon was filled with confetti?

Brinton was eager to find out. Or, at the very least, he couldn’t wait to pop the balloon with that knife (with Dad’s help). The two of them punctured the plastic, which then burst open!

In typical toddler fashion, Brinton doesn’t react as you might expect he might. Instead of jumping up and down, he started to back away slowly. Seconds later, he utters two words that have the whole internet laughing.
